For word work today we did a blind sort of our words. Our partner called a word and we had to think about which category it belonged to without seeing the word. It was tricky but we were very good at it. #lifeinroom4

Mrs Dent Scarcello has some new roommates!! When I was at home sick on Tuesday I got to watch a robin build this nest, all in one day! I put some yarn out for her and she put it in the basket of her nest. She hasn't been back since and I heard she is out looking for a mate. She should be back when she is ready to lay her eggs! We have been working with Miss Booth a little bit to learn about writing a Fact or Fib book. It's going to be about Canada! Today we found interesting facts about Canada. Last week I was able to spend two days at a teaching conference in Gimli, Manitoba called Riding the Wave of Change. It was a great two days filled with awesome ideas I can bring back to our school! I was also very lucky that the weather was beautiful and I was able to get outside to this path on the lunch break ☀️ #mrsdentscarcello

Yesterday we had an assembly with a performance by Fubuki Daiko, Japanese drumming. It was incredible! They are working with the grade 3-5 students in our school to learn drumming. They will perform at the Evening of the Arts on Thursday night. #lifeinroom4

Sometimes when we come in after lunch, there is a message on the board for us to respond to. Today we were writing something nice to a friend.
