What I Am is... {a great way to start the year}

 Welcome to another school year! Ok, it's September 19th so I kinda missed "the start" of the year. I am still at home with Emily, my baby. She is 5 months old already! It's a whole new world raising a baby which is why I am posting this "back to school" post on September 19th! I had planned to do it 15 days ago! I spend a lot of time with my friends that also have babies, I call them my mom-friends. Some of them I knew before they had babies and some I have met just because they have babies. One of my mom-friends, Natalie, shared some great finds she came across on youtube. I tweeted about this one song in particular over the summer because I thought it would be a great way to start the year. While I wouldn't be sharing the start of the year with my students, lots of my tweeps would so I wanted to make sure someone used it! Emily and I listen to it all the time and we are working on a crafty little computer project of our own based on this song. Stay tuned for that one. If you haven't heard this song from Sesame Street and Will.i.Am already, get ready because you will be addicted and dancing in your seat. I guarantee it. Enjoy, and have a great rest of September!

Hi Mason!
I bet you are a great role model in grade 6. I am glad you decided to stay at Bird's Hill for grade 6. Emily is doing great! She is eating food now (really smooth food), she got teeth last week and she is just starting to crawl! Things are getting interesting.
I think I might pop in on Halloween to see all your great costumes! But I will be back as a teacher after spring break.
Take care!
